A Big, Juicy Thank You

Today marks the 200th post here at Blue Speckled Pup! It crept up on me, really; only a few weeks ago, it seems I was at post 170-something, which makes perfect sense mathematically –numbers so aren’t my thing– and suddenly here I am, writing post number 200. If you haven’t been following along, that’s two hundred consecutive posts, without missing a day. Bust out the party hats!

For the 100th post, I tooted my own horn a little and mentioned some of my favorite pieces from the previous months. This time, I’m celebrating all the people who make my little blog a wee success. I send my sincerest gratitude to the people who read my ramblings as part of their regularly scheduled lives. This time last year, as much as I enjoyed writing, it was a solitary endeavor. It means so much to me that others share in it now. For the folks who take the time to write me a comment, you make my days better every time you decide to leave me a few words of your own. Bloggers love comments: it’s a sure sign of (usually) intelligent life out there in Internetland. Otherwise, all I get are an astounding number of people trying to sell me cheap Viagra. All my readers, the old ones who have been around since I started; the new ones who dropped in for a snoop around and decided to stay; and the ones who are relatives reading only because of genetic obligation, thank you, thank you, and thank you.

How about a word from our namesake here at Blue Speckled Pup. Sherman?

Maybe he should be in dog food commercials?

Unfortunately, Sherm isn’t feeling too talkative this evening. He also lacks opposable thumbs and so far has only managed to type unintelligible messages with his chin. In lieu of a proper thanks, he sends you a rank, resonant fart of gratitude.

If things get any classier around here, I don’t know what I’ll do.
