Here we are, on the cusp of a new year ripe with possibilities. I hope your holiday season has been wonderful, and, whatever you celebrate, that you shared it with your favourite people and mammals.
If you happened to share it with a favourite reptile or amphibian, that’s great too.
For the first time ever, this year The Electrician and I purchased stockings and hung them by the mantel with care. Mine is silver with rhinestone snowflakes; it’s very elegant and grown up. The Electrician chose a genuine Star Wars model, the Chewbacca stocking, complete with long brown fur. It’s also very elegant and grown up, but in a very different way from mine. Sherman and Leroy also have their own little dog and cat stockings, because we wanted the whole family to get in on the action this year.
A good time was had by all. Santa Paws brought us marvellous things, and we were blessed to make memories with family from near and far. Hooray!
A new foster dog arrives tomorrow to help us ring in the new year, so stay tuned for photos and a story on the newest guest here in the dollhouse.
And now, something I meant to do before Christmas. I got caught up in all the goings on and have been shamefully neglecting my blog, so please accept this wonderful photo, taken today as a last hurrah for the festive season.
I swore I’d never be one of those people who dressed my dog up in holiday costumes. Thankfully, I made no such declarations about the cat.
From all of us to all of you, merry merry, happy happy. Take care of yourselves.
